Learn how to troubleshoot this issue
Access to different sections in the AskCody Management Portal is determined on an RBAC (Role-based access control) basis, so a series of roles grant users access to different sections and features in the platform. To learn more about the different roles in the AskCody Management Portal, please click here.
In some cases, users might lose access to different sections in the AskCody Management Portal due to the configuration in their organizational accounts. There are different scenarios in which this can happen:
- Someone in your organization revoked your access
- Your organization has an Active Directory Integration enabled with AskCody, and the service revoked your access
Someone in your organization revoked your access
In some cases, restructuring processes in organizations result also in an access reform to the different services the organization has access to. If this is the case, please contact an IT administrator in your organization to get your access restored
Your organization has an Active Directory user synchronization service enabled with AskCody, and the service revoked your access
In this case, the Active Directory integration reflects the group membership defined by your organization in the groups you are integrating via Azure AD or Active Directory. Since the roles are given on a group basis (click here to learn more about this), all the members from a specific group will get the specific role(s) defined in the integration configuration. In order for you to get your role(s) back, please get in touch with an IT administrator in your organization with access to Active Directory, or Azure Active Directory and to the whole AskCody platform (with the "Owner" role), and ask them to make a member of the groups that grant users the roles you wish to have.
