Learn how to configure and display an AskCody Room Display in a Glorystar Nebula display
Note
This guide is intended to be used after performing the initial setup (first run experience) of the Nebula Glow signage device, where settings such as language, time zone and network options (such as Ethernet and Wi-Fi are configured). When the signage device is ready to be used, please follow the steps below to set up the AskCody Displays on it.

Setting up the Display
- Turn on the Nebula Glow display
- When the display is loaded (and StarOS has booted), tap on the lower-right corner repeatedly for 5 times, and you will be prompted with a Return to Staros modal, asking you to enter a password. Type it in (the default password is 0000) and tap on Enter
- Next, you will need to load the .apk file onto the device: Insert a USB drive with the .apk file stored
- At the bottom of the Display navigate to Settings (second option from left to right). You will be taken to the StarOS settings menu.
- Press on the Files Manager tile
- Locate the USB key at the sidebar on the left. It should be at the bottom. Tap on its name and locate the glorystar-signed.apk file.
- Tap on it. If you are prompted with a warning pop-up, press on Continue, then tap on Install. The app will now be installed on the device. When done, tap on Done and go back to the StarOS system screen by following the instructions on step 2 of this list.
- Navigate to Modes at the bottom of the display
- Scroll vertically on the left panel until you reach 'app mode', then tap on its name to select it. This will make sure that the device boots in this mode every time it is powered on and display the AskCody display automatically.
- At the right half of the screen, you will see the installed an available apps to be selected. Tap on AskCody to select it.
- At the top right of the display, tap on LAUNCH NOW
- This will launch the AskCody app.
- Type in the License Key of the Display you want to show (License key: EU/World, click here. The US, click here)
- Tap on Confirm
- The AskCody display will now be configured and launch the Room Display every time the device powers on. To change the configuration of the device at any time, repeat the instructions on step 2 of this guide.
