Learn how to update the AskCody Signage app on both iOS and Android display devices
Since the AskCody Signage app is available on both iOS and Android there are different ways of managing application updates depending on what operating system is used by your devices.
Updates for the AskCody Signage app will only be released in connection to major bug fixes or major new feature releases.
Managing app updates for iOS (iPad)
The iOS version of the AskCody Signage app is deployed and installed via the Apple App Store. This means that most updates are pushed automatically to your device via the App Store.
In rare cases, a major update might require you to exit the AskCody Signage app and perform a manual update by going to the App Store → press Updates → Find the AskCody Signage app → press Update.
Managing app updates for Android (LG, GloryStar, Philips)
The Android version of the AskCody Signage app is deployed and installed locally via the .apk file. This means that there is no central deployment and therefore no way to push updates. To update the Android version of the AskCody Signage app, the new version of the app needs to be downloaded and installed on the device.
