Description of the error code "ErrorInvalidImpersonatedUser"

 

Note: This error code applies to integrations with both Microsoft Exchange Online (Microsoft Graph) and Microsoft Exchange Server (EWS). Where the solution below mentions EWS URLs, service accounts, or the ApplicationImpersonation role, that part applies to Exchange Server. If you see this error on the Microsoft Graph integration and the solution does not resolve it, submit a support ticket.

Type: Configuration error (You are often able to resolve this type of error.)

Description: Invalid impersonated user. The impersonated user must be specified as an SMTP address.

Possible solution: Ensure that the address is written as an email address, for example, account@example.com.
