ErrorTooManyRequests - how to fix?

Description of the error code "ErrorTooManyRequests"

 

Note: This error code applies to integrations with both Microsoft Exchange Online (Microsoft Graph) and Microsoft Exchange Server (EWS). Where the solution below mentions EWS URLs, service accounts, or the ApplicationImpersonation role, that part applies to Exchange Server. If you see this error on the Microsoft Graph integration and the solution does not resolve it, please submit a support ticket.

Code: ErrorTooManyRequests

Type: Temporary error (Please try again later. If multiple temporary errors occur, contact support.)

Description:  Exchange received too many requests. 

Possible solutions:

Exchange Server (EWS): The EWSMaxConcurrency parameter might be set too low. This can be solved by assigning the ApplicationImpersonation role to the integrating service account, which allows it to operate with a copy of the resource budget of the resource it is accessing.

Exchange Online (Microsoft Graph): No customer-side configuration is involved. If the error persists, submit a support ticket.
