How to Disable Automatic Printing on Check-in Kiosk

Learn how to customize for check-in kiosk to prevent it from automatically printing visitor labels

By default, AskCody can be configured to automatically print a visitor label when a guest checks in at a kiosk. If you want to turn this off, you can do so directly from the Admin Center.

Steps

  1. Log in to AskCody
  2. In the Admin Center, go to Visitors and open Check-in Kiosk templates
  3. Locate the Printer type field. If automatic printing is enabled, you will see a printer type selected there (for example, "Chrome")
  4. Clear the field by clicking the x on the far right side of it

  5. Click Update at the bottom of the page to save the change

After saving

Once you have saved the setting, you will need to refresh the check-in kiosk itself, as it runs locally on the kiosk device. Refreshing ensures the updated setting takes effect. From that point on, visitor labels will no longer be printed automatically when a guest checks in.

This setting is configured per kiosk template. If you have multiple templates set up, make sure to update each one where you want to disable automatic printing.
